The silhouette is a horizontally elongated oval — narrow in height, wider at the centre, tapering at both ends without the upturn of a cat-eye — in thick high-gloss black acetate. The frame has real presence: the acetate is substantial, the edges polished and clean. Lenses are dark grey with a mauve-purple tint that reads near-black in daylight and shows its colour in softer light. At the hinge of each temple, “miu miu” is cast in gold three-dimensional lettering directly into the acetate — the same hardware treatment as the metal-frame styles in the collection.
